25 April 2014 at 02:10 PM On 9 April 2014, the Government announced the appointments of Sajid Javid MP as Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport and Minister for Equalities, and Nicky Morgan MP as Minister for Women. The appointments follow the resignation of Maria Miller as Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport.

In January 2013 the Equality and Human Rights Commission published outcomes of research into recruitment practice.
