    Sexual harassment in the workplace

What safeguards do you have in place to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace? How would your anti-harassment policy compare to best practice in the sector?

In December 2017, the Equality and Human Rights Commission published practical guidance for employers on sexual harassment in the workplace. The guidance explains what an anti-harassment policy should contain, including:

    • definition and examples of what sexual harassment is
    • your responsibilities as an employer
    • what a sexual harassment policy should include
    • how to put the policy into practice
    • how to handle sexual harassment complaints
    • criminal behaviour
